Ann Lister is a native New Englander currently living in Florida with her husband. She has pulled details from her years living in the New England area and uses many local settings and landmarks in her novels.

After graduating art school, marrying, and raising two daughters, she established her own video production company. Her nearly two decades working in video production included work within the music industry and won her a coveted Telly Award. Her 'behind-the-scenes' exposure to the music world and her love of rock music is the inspiration for her erotic rock star romances.

The Rock Gods series gave her Bestselling Author status on Amazon. Beyond The Music, Book 7 in the series, reached #1 in Gay Erotica in the Pre-Order and held that spot for several weeks. The last book in the series launches the spin-off series, Guarding The Gods, which is releasing in early summer 2016.

Fall For Me, Book One in the series was a Finalist in the 2013 Rainbow Award. Each book in this series brings her two favorite elements together: musicians and the love between two men. Summary: Gage Tennison: I’ve played the role of rockstar for an eternity—or so it seems. Coming off a long tour didn’t help my attitude, either. I should have been writing instead of partaking in the perks. So, while the rest of my band enjoyed a vacation, I was alone in the Adirondacks working. I guess I deserved that. Everyone suggested a collaborator to push me through my block but it felt like cheating. I’d never needed help before, so why now? Sometimes help appears when you least expect it. How was I to know the gorgeous man hired as my personal assistant would be exactly what I needed—professionally and personally. It was the latter which shocked me because I didn’t notice men—not like that. Not until a guy with striking gray-blue eyes locked gazes with me and the music we created wasn’t just on paper. Cain Bennington: I’m very good at my job. I’m organized to a fault which makes me a perfect assistant for the high-end entertainers I work for. Another secret skill I have is composing music. I hear nuances that others miss and I also understand the theory behind the verses. I might be proficient as an assistant but I shine even brighter as a composer. I’ve never showcased my abilities—until a certain rockstar dropped the challenge into my lap and before the album was completed, I’d fallen for him. But as the entertainment business discovered my skills as a composer, they also learned a piece of my history I’d hoped to keep hidden. Now I wonder if my past will over-shadow the music we created or the relationship we built.

Summary: Two teenage boys were certain they’d be best friends for life. With clear paths planned for the future, they were ready to take on the world. All it took was one deep—very adult kiss to throw them off kilter, and their plans turned to dust. One chose a path toward stardom and stage lights while the other stayed behind in their hometown and pursued his dream of being a cop. Although they hoped to see one another again, neither thought it would ever happen. No one can turn back time, but perhaps the future can be altered with a little luck—and a lot of love. Gamble: I was fifteen when I realized I was in love with my best friend, Bix. Since then, not a day has passed when he didn’t cross my mind. I arrived in L.A. at eighteen with nothing more than raw talent and a dream, then fell face-first into drug addiction but not before my band hit it big, earning awards and million-dollar paychecks. Success was one thing, but I still wanted Bix and the simple life we once had growing up on Starfish Island. Bixby: I spent a lot of years worrying about Gamble. The entertainment news was great about airing his dirty laundry, which kept me aware of how low he was sinking. Now I worried he might not survive. I’d wanted him since that one perfect kiss we shared on graduation night, and I’ve wanted a lifetime of more with him ever since. Possible Triggers: Mentions of drug addiction, overdose, recovery, and a gunshot wound. Gamble on Me is part of the multi-author The Road to Rocktoberfest 2022 series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but why not read them all and see who hits the stage next? Hot rockstars and the men who love them, what more could you ask for? Kick back, load up your kindle and enjoy the men of Rocktoberfest!

Summary: Brett “Rebel” Hart has never been one to abide by social norms, whether it’s professionally with his band, Rebel Heart, or in his private life. He’s had an ongoing relationship with his music collaborator for many years but never fully committed to him nor said those three all-important words. Now Rebel’s longtime love is gone, and he’s left picking up the pieces of his life while settling his friend’s estate. Jacob McKinney owns the local cafe. He knows who Rebel is the moment he walks into his restaurant and also knows why the famous musician is in town. They were formally introduced years ago, but he doubts Rebel remembers him, which is fine. Although Rebel and Jacob live in two very different worlds, there was one person who’s tied them together. John Kirby was a talented award-winning lyricist who worked with many musicians throughout his long career. Born with a heart defect, he made the most of his time, but in the end, left behind two very different men to process their loss. Kirby’s one wish was to bring Rebel, the only man who owned his damaged heart, and Jacob together somehow—first, as a way to help each other mourn, but then as a new opportunity at love. Can two grieving men find lasting love together and uncover the connection Kirby already knew existed between them? Dead men can’t talk, but their dreams can still come true—even from the beyond. Rebel Heart is a stand-alone rockstar romance with a slow burn, high emotions, grief/comfort, and an HEA. Author Note: This story has been re-released with a new title. No new content has been added with the exception of very minor changes made to the title and the name of the main character.

Summary: - Bisexual Discovery - First Love - Rockstar / Roadie - Stage fright / Anxiety - Low Angst / HEA Strung Tight is the 1st book in the multi-author Road To Rocktoberfest series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but why not stay and enjoy the whole show? If you like scorching tales of hot rock stars and the men who love them, then you’ll adore the untamed musicians of Rocktoberfest! What’s better than having your rock idol, Dagger Drummond be the mentor for your band? Having your band selected as one of the performing acts at the iconic music festival, Rocktoberfest. My band was about to step onto our first professional stage. We’d more than earned our spot in the lineup. We had the talent and Dagger groomed our stage swagger. All that was left was to wow the socks off of the audience. It should be easy, except I had major anxiety issues and it’s frowned upon when lead singers collapse on stage from panic attacks. Another detail adding to my anxiety level, I recently fell in love with a man. Imagine that, a straight guy falling for a dude. It’s the stuff stories are made of – and yet it’s my life. Rocktoberfest was supposed to be fun but our trip turned sour when my guy went AWOL. Now my concentration is shot and my is heart heavy thinking his absence might have more to do with him not wanting to be with me than missing the bus. One way or another, I had to give the performance of my career – regardless of what was going on inside my head or my heart.

Summary: I’m known as Lace around campus at the performing arts college I attend because I use lacy ribbons sometimes in my dance routines. I’d like to believe I’m unforgettable because I’m highly skilled in many forms of performance art, but I have a feeling it also has something to do with what I can do with my body. What do I mean? I’m very . . . bendy – a contortionist of sorts, which comes from many years of training and being able to control every muscle in my body. I began as a kid doing classical ballet then moved on to more contemporary dance like swinging on poles and my favorite, aerial rope performance. My goal after I complete college is to join a major dance trope and share my fluid grace with audiences around the world. The unexpected bonus to being this flexible? I bring self-pleasuring to a whole new level – and I do – often. My roommate, Brick learned this when he walked in on me the first day he stepped into our dorm room. Since then, I’ve been awakening things inside of him he hadn’t realized he craved – until me. Now we can’t keep our hands off of each other and we’ve created a whole new meaning behind pole dancing. Bending For Him, is Book 5 in the Illicit Heat Series. This is an erotic tale of approximately 12k words, low angst, an HEA, and no cliffhangers. This and all the titles in the Illicit Heat Series can be read as stand-alones.

Summary: Branson: I'm a guy who knows what he wants—whether it's a career goal or a man intriguing enough for me to give chase—once I have the prize in sight, I’m relentless in my pursuit. This has worked well for me over the years, more specifically, as the bass player of my band, Hard Core. I hear a bass line in anything the guys throw at me, then take those jumbled run of notes and turn it into something our fans will want to buy. I'm also a man who doesn't do messy or complicated, and I keep my emotions out of the game—until now. FDNY Lieutenant Sean Conley, one of New York's bravest, has ruined me for all others because I allowed myself to feel. Conley: I’m dedicated to putting my own safety aside and saving lives on a daily basis. Just don't ask me to be part of a concert crowd or I'll inevitably have a massive panic attack. Personal trauma pushed me into the closet and I was fine with this life—until rock star Branson Mink happened to cross my path at a fire scene. Worse yet, I think he knows what I'm hiding. Branson's hardly the type to be anyone's secret. Every aspect of his life plays out under the spotlight, while I prefer to keep mine hidden behind that closet door. I have always left parts of myself private, and now Branson has something to hide too. When our worst fears collide, I'm forced to put mine aside to save the man I love. Turns out, that was easy. The real challenge? Figuring out how to make this relationship work.

Summary: Blade: As the lead singer of Hard Core, I’ve been taught several key life lessons. Unfortunately, I've also ignored many of them in the last twenty minutes alone, which is why I'm now being chased by a hoard of crazed fans. But my worst misjudgment today? Going outside in public without security or a backup plan. Screaming fans come with the job and the fame is as much of a blessing as it is a curse, but I still couldn't imagine doing any other line of work. Music owns me and I am happy to be her bitch. Nico: I knew who he was as soon as he burst through the front door of my store and I was absolutely starstruck and speechless. Yes, me with my own hardened attitude and jaded outlook on life had lost the ability to talk in the presence of Blade. I'm an ex-con. I paid my debt to society, and I have my own brand of scars to show from the time I spent behind bars. My life's regrets stain my soul as much as the ink of my tattoos color my skin. Solace for me came with ownership of a bookstore. It was a peaceful place to work until a certain rockstar blew in from the street like a Category 5 hurricane. Hurricane Blade was about to make landfall and I wasn't sure I'd survive the storm.

Summary: Vance: He's angry and bitter over the direction his father has chosen for him in the family business – and in his life. He may have been born into money, but Vance always saw his journey as something less grand. He's desperate to follow his real passion which is metal sculpture, created with nothing more than scraps he pulls out of junk piles, a blow torch, and a sweat. But he lacks a critical element to make that happen: the spine to stand up to the man who moves him around like a pawn on a chessboard. He needs something – or someone to give him the motivational push to take back control of his life. Kyle: He's drifted through life with a massive chip on his shoulder. He doesn't mind being a city bike messenger, but he knows his body won't allow him to do that forever, and riding for a living isn't his calling in life. But with no clear plan B in place, he needs to keep his day job – for now. The other problem? He loathes the privileged people he delivers to, despises what they stand for, and how they look down at him as if he was worthless. The only thing more prominent than the grudge he holds against them is his pride. Everything changes when a company owner's son hits him with his car, which puts both rider and driver on entirely different paths in their lives. But is this a path they can both take together, or will egos and societal privilege create too many obstacles to overcome? Moved By You is a 67,000 word MM novel with an enemies to lovers theme, and an HEA.

Summary: What do you give a man who has the money to buy everything … literally? Yourself. That is, if by some miracle he'd ever see you as anything other than his best friend. Jake: I've been in love with him since he was a pimply-faced, preppy boy. Okay, that description isn't exactly accurate—he's always been gorgeous. Now, he’s an uber-rich millennial and takes my breath away every time we share the same space. Who am I talking about? My best friend, Barrett. The man who I’ve known I wanted to share my life with since the age of fourteen. Now that we’re older, I want him in ways I know aren't possible. And why? Because I'm bisexual, and he's straight. Barrett: My fortieth birthday is in a few days and my good-intentioned best friend wants to throw me a party with all of our friends, but that's not what I want. Full disclosure? I want a private party with Jake. One that has a no-clothing theme and involves a big bed. That kind of sounds as though I want my best friend. You wouldn't be wrong about that. I've been in love with him since before I understood that it was okay to have feelings for another guy. He was my first love and I want him to be my forever. The problem? Jake doesn't see me that way. Never has … and he never will. The Illicit Heat Series is a new collection of short stories. Summary: It was on the suggestion of Christian's therapist that he spend more time outdoors to enjoy the fresh air and get a little exercise in the process. His family and friends were constantly harping on him to do the same. “Live a little and don't be afraid to take chances,” they said. “Life's a journey best enjoyed with a healthy dose of adrenaline,” others said. But their droning words of advice was exactly why he found himself walking around in circles—lost in the middle of an unfamiliar hiking park—east of Nowhere and a little south of Wherethehellami. The only human he'd managed to see in the last three hours, the one person who could possibly point him in the direction of his car, was a gorgeous man who preferred to do his hiking … naked. Who hiked around naked in the woods like that? Derek did, and he was about to show Christian exactly why hiking naked was the only way to experience the sport. In “Climbing The Longhorn,” Christian sets off for the hike of his life with Derek as his personal trail guide. Summary: This is Tessler's private journal—the journal he’d used as a story outline when he penned his world famous Black Key Trilogy. The three-book set was semi-autobiographical by nature and closely followed the sexual awakening of a young Tessler as he grew into the man he's become today. The journal entries are emotional and incredibly personal as Tessler chronicled his journey as an inexperienced innocent, to an intrigued intern, and out the other side as an able-bodied man with decidedly different tastes than those from before he first stepped through the doors of The Black Key Club. Tessler guarded this journal and the secrets it held between the pages for years to protect himself from the possible judgment of others should the book ever be publicly exposed. Now, he wants to share his journal with you—on his own terms—before someone tries to take that power away from him. “The Black Key Journal” is a full-length erotic novel. It is a companion piece for “More Than My Words,” Book 3 in the Guarding The Gods Series. To better enjoy Tessler's journal, it is strongly suggested that you read Book 3 before you read this novel. There is a considerable amount of erotic content in this story with numerous adult MM sexual situations not meant for younger readers. Readers 18+ is strongly advised.

Summary: Mason Foxworth has spent the last several months recovering from injuries he received doing personal security while on tour during the horrific fire in Germany. He'd been hitting his stride professionally when he fell through the floor that night, and now his life had been reduced to weekly appointments with physical therapists and various doctors while everyone else around him seemed to have moved on. He felt useless and alone, and the worst part of it, the physical scarring left behind on his legs from the burns had ruined his self-esteem. Who would want him now, when he was so damaged inside and out and he had nothing much to contribute? He didn't have a lot of friends and his co-workers felt it was safer to keep Mason at a desk in the office doing paperwork, rather than out in the field doing security. Mason wanted to get that status changed before he lost the last threads of his sanity, and the main obstacle in his way was a bum leg that was taking far too long to heal. Tessler is an enigma in the sci-fi literary world. A young, reclusive author, known for the mystery swirling around him, he realizes he's lost any real joy in his life when he suddenly starts to feel the strange emotion pumping through his veins. Barely beyond the age of twenty-five and he's already made more money than most see in a lifetime, but Tessler feels empty within himself and also inside his two-story, meticulously renovated warehouse in the burbs of Los Angeles. What made him this way must remain the mystery it is, or he feels he'll lose the empire he's created. But meeting a man he feels could bring all his pieces together is challenging his reasons for anonymity and Tessler suddely finds himself wanting more from life and from himself. Mason wants his life back and Tessler is just looking to have a real life. Can two vastly different men find a way to smooth out their hard edges and blend their lives to offer the one ingredient neither has: love? Personal growth comes in many different shapes and Mason and Tessler have a mountain of it to climb in order to find their HEA.

For every step towards glory which Ben took on their rise to fame, Simon's footsteps faltered along that same journey. Nothing he did seemed to measure up and it was one misstep after another, until Simon no longer knew the man he was looking at in the mirror. Substance abuse covered up his anger and far too many poor decisions to count concealed what he really wanted in his life: acceptance and self-love along with a meaningful and committed relationship with a soul mate. Beat Of His Own Drums is Simon's story, and gives insight to who Simon really is as a man and why he did the things he did to try and find his happiness. Everyone deserves a second chance at life and even at love, and Simon is ready for his. He's walked the walk and talked the talk, now Simon wants the world to know why he's always had to go through life using the beat from his own drums to guide him. This 31,000+ word M/M novella has an HEA ending, and is a follow-up story to For All The Right Reasons, M/F, which I would recommend reading first. These stories have now become a series, and a full-length novel will follow Beat Of His Own Drums, which will release in the future to continue Simon and Ben's story.

For the first time in his life, Kensey discovers he likes who he sees looking back at him in the mirror. Without the safety of those walls and his heart left unprotected, Kensey becomes an easy target for those who can't let go of the past. Summary: Mick Wheland, Ivory Tower's bad-boy guitarist, has recently realized two important things about himself. He prefers sex with men over women, and the idea of a committed relationship doesn't scare him as much as it once did. He's seen the positive effects of love from watching his band-mates find life partners, and now he's thinking he might be ready for the same himself. The problem is knowing where to look for Mr. Right, and living out of a suitcase while touring with a band is not exactly conducive to finding real love. Sonny (Rooster) Roostarelli leaves the seclusion of his Vancouver cabin, where he went to lick his wounds after a contentious divorce, and moves back to Los Angeles. He claims relocating to L.A. is for business purposes, but now that the dust has settled on his failed marriage, Rooster feels he might finally be ready to settle down – with a man. A chance encounter for Wheland and Rooster on a busy L.A. street rekindles an old friendship between the two professional musicians. Rooster needs a short-term place to stay and Wheland has plenty of extra space at his hillside estate and that lands Rooster in Wheland's guest room. What starts out as a music collaboration opportunity quickly turns personal when the chemistry they have becomes too strong to ignore and soon the music they're making spills from the studio and into the bedroom. The road is a grueling bitch musicians love to hate. Being on stage under the hot lights can sometimes be the only place they feel comfortable and alive. Can two high-profile rock stars make a life together in such an artificial world – on and off the stage... or will past mistakes and family secrets keep them from finding their forever?
