Robin and Cassidy (I saw it was #3 but can easily read as a stand alone)
Retired Master Sergeant Cassidy and young musician Robin meet on purpose....well Cassidy knows this but Robin has no idea. A mutual friend/psychologist Logan ask Cassidy to hold an eye on Robin so he won't do something stupid after he left his boyfriend Kevin
Cassidy is left by Mike his partner of twenty years....
Big grumpy Cassidy has a soft spot for Robin, beautiful Robin with his long red hair....always flirting, winking and sparkling.
Robin wants to go back to his mother. First to San Francisco then to Canal Flats....They travel together because alone is just alone....not?
Only....Cassidy is a bad liar so he tells the truth about he being with Robin.
Robin is heavy traumatized, this beautiful man....I wanted to *squeeze* him hard.
Little by little we get to know what happened to him and let me tell you it's heartbreaking...
Cassidy is not only physical big.... his heart is big and his love is big.....
This story grabbed me....
It started light and nice they have a great time traveling and they have great sex......and then there sprouts a feeling.... damn.....there is so much going on.
When they finally found Robin's family and have a cabin for themselves they have a lovely time....only.... Robin's demons come alive and all his fears.....his dismissed Cassidy and tells him he's still in love with someone else.
Cassidy is heartbroken and leaves the same minute. Back to his own safe mountain.
Robin is redeeming himself from his demons....a long and hard painful process.... This beautiful boy....I cried ugly tears for him...he is so strong and honest to face it all...so determined....
Deep bow to Robin...
Not only his family but also his friends are surrounding him with love and support. He wants to heal before facing Cassidy.
What stuttered my heart was the pain of Cassidy, when he reveals his past damn..damn..
I didn't see that coming...that big man with this wonderful heart....
Jesus I cried so hard....those beautiful men and all the struggle I just wanted to hold their heads look them in the eyes and tell them to follow their dreams and heart....
All the feelings were written in a touching way... This story has more in it then at first sight. It has layers and everyone of them has a purpose and is well thought out. The developing is breathtaking....
The process of Robin's healing mentally and physically is just wonderful put down....very personal, intimate and evincive.....enlightening,....and the hurt.. damn.. Same goes for Cassidy, their personalities are so wonderful I loved them both. A very very emotional read....it kept me crying for hours...
After the rain (read: healing) all I could see was the clouded sky split in two and a bright shining sun comes through and a big big sparkling rainbow..... (read: HEA :))
~ Ohh look....an Eagle.....Always first...never the second...~
