It's been ten years since the Apocalypse ended. The Holy War between Angels and Demons is now over. Those left alive in the aftermath now attempt to return the world to some form of what it used to be. With the war now over and their true purpose served, the Four Horsemen scatter to different parts of the world. What happens when these four men have nothing left to do but wander and create mischief? When the world they're meant to cause chaos in has entered a new state of peace? When they exist outside of time and no longer serve much of a purpose? Fate has a plan and she's not about to let anyone get in her way.

Death

Death is the only one with something left to do; after all people are still going to die no matter what happened during the Apocalypse. But, Death is not most people’s preferred option so imagine his surprise when someone actually summons him.

Famine

Famine spends his newly found freedom exploring the places he caused disaster in and tries to fix what he’s done. When a surprise attack leaves him wounded, he has to find someone that can heal him. Only, it’s going to take some serious work and he might not survive the time it’ll take.

War

War finds himself exploring the mountain ranges of Peru. Until his brother ends up gravely injured and he ends up on a mission to find the one that did it. Only he fails to find the culprit and instead stumbles upon something way more important.

Pestilence

Pestilence hides himself away. Why would he be amongst people when he is who he is? No one wants to be around someone as poisonous as him. Not even his own brothers. At least that’s what he thinks. It’s going to take some serious convincing for this man to come out of his iron-clad shell.

Prologue

In a world ravaged by pain and suffering only the strong survive. It has been ten years since the Apocalypse. The human race has been almost completely wiped out. Paranormals now outnumber them ten to one. After the flames died down those left alive started to rebuild, grow, and prosper. The world is now almost exactly the way it was. Trees have been planted to replenish the forests. Cities have been rebuilt and the people are back to living normal lives.

It took a while but even the economy is back on track. The people are no longer living in a worldwide great depression thanks to that. The countries of the world are now united. The Apocalypse has brought on a new era of peace and prosperity. With nothing left to do now that their job has been done the four horsemen have scattered to different parts of the world. That my friends is where our story begins.

Death

Revelation 6: 7-8

“And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given to them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”

The Beginning

Aiden

A long time ago, when I was in college I tried to kill myself. The circumstances then were not the same as the circumstances now and still I tried. Back then I was struggling with school, with feeling confident about my sexuality, and overall how I wanted to be seen as a person, not just an omega wolf. I admit that I was weak. I let people get to me too easily. Their words and their actions beat me down until nothing was left. Taking the pills was easy but surviving after they didn’t work was a bit harder.

I remember being unconscious after my body had shut down due to the pills I’d taken. What’s hazy and still makes me think that it was all a dream is the voice I heard. It was smooth like rich velvet and the words it spoke to me hit home so hard that I cried every time I thought about them. Those words are what made me push forward in life. I changed my outlook, became stronger, and took nonsense from no one. Until now. Those words saved me then, but will they save me now? When everything is so much worse than it was? When this time I actually want it to be my time?

“It’s not your time, little wolf.” I can only hope that this time those words are wrong.

SO I should have read the warnings to know it was a M/M book but I didn't. I honestly don't read M/M romance with the exception of M/F/M. I"m usually a M/F reader. So it was different for me from that perspective. However, it was very good.

It was unusual as the "end of the world" has come and gone. The four horseman are now at a lose. What do they do now? It was interesting that all four of them had done things they regretted. When they did the "Evil" things it was almost like they were different beings. Now they are done with it. They still have little things to do, but nothing that keeps them interested for long.

Imagine their surprise when they actually get something they are not expecting. A mate that loves them despite what they are and have done. There was no grand evil they are fighting. They are just "men" that are tired, and need someone to love.

About the Author

Well Ezra isn't my real name obviously but I liked the name so I decided to use it. I live at home with my five dogs and one cat. I started out writing hetero romance novels but it wasn't where my heart lied. I adore all things paranormal and M/M is by far my favorite genre so I decided to start writing Paranormal Romances. There's a guaranteed happy ending with each of my books even if it may take some time for my guys to get there. I love each and every character on the page and I look forward to writing more for you. I hope you all enjoy reading them as much as I do writing them 😀
