Danger brought them together. Safety tore them apart. Can one act of recklessness reunite them forever?

Jamie

Against protocol and my best intentions, I fell in love with the key witness I was assigned to protect. I know. Rookie move, Jamie.

I guess I’m just a soft touch for beautiful, scared men who hide behind prickly sass and razor-sharp snark. With a little kindness and a lot of patience, I got to know the generous, caring man underneath all those barbs.

But it took everything I had to keep things professional.

In the end, none of that mattered, because I still had to let him go — and it would have been infinitely worse if he knew how I felt. Not that things are much better now, because a year later, with no hope of ever seeing him again, I still can’t forget Ashley Pandy.

Ash

Testifying against your best friend’s father for conducting illegal drug trials is one thing. Falling for the handsome deputy marshal assigned to protect you? Utter humiliation.

I was a walking cliché, all heart eyes and swooning. As if a decent, honorable man like Jamie MacDougall would have been interested in someone as damaged as me.

Thankfully, before I could mortify myself further by telling him how I feel, the trial ended, and I entered the WITSEC program with a new identity and a new life — far away from the sexy deputy marshal who still holds my heart.

But justice has some nasty side effects, and now, 12 months later, guilt and loyalty are forcing me back to the last place I should be — Seattle.

And with my past hot on my heels, there’s only one person I trust to keep me safe…

Save Me is a low-medium angst, Forced-Proximity, Second-Chance-at-First-Romance Contemporary MM novel with a bit of snark, a dash of sweet, and a lot of spice. It contains no cheating, and a guaranteed Happily Ever After.

I was drawn in to Save Me from the very first few lines and devoured the story. The emotion between the two men, Ashley and Jamie, is so strong and beautifully portrayed. The story is sensual, steamy, passionate, while simultaneously suspenseful (but not stressfully so)… the heat, the desire between the two men palpable. I felt it viscerally (even though I’m a woman and my attraction is toward women). I’ve found gender really doesn’t matter all that much in a good book if the chemistry between the characters is well-done. And Beck Grey did an AMAZING job at playing up the chemistry and dialing up the heat between Ashley and Jamie!

I really enjoyed some of the secondary characters, too - especially Jamie’s family. I loved them and wanted to hang out with them! The ending was super satisfying. I would have expected nothing less.

Already looking forward to Beck Grey’s next book!

This book caused a huge dilemma: do I blow through it in one reading because I can't put it down, or do I try and spread it out so I have something enjoyable to read for multiple days? I aimed for the second but failed, I was so invested in this story I couldn't stop reading!

First, the book is incredibly well-written. The pacing is solid, the words flow, and the descriptions are on point. I enjoyed the switching perspectives so we could feel what each character was going through and helped us really get to know them as people. I thought the chemistry between Jamie and Ash was apparent from the first few pages and the sexual tension was killing me! These two were so clearly head over heels for each other, they just needed to get out of their own heads for a minute to realize it. The heat between the two was incredible and the payoff when they finally - FINALLY - acknowledged it was well worth the wait. I also enjoyed the two subplots/secondary characters involved in the story, with Jamie's family and Ash's best friend. While obviously part of the overall plot, some books don't take the time to develop these portions into their own entities, and that's not the case here. I was actually in tears by the end of the book.

Overall, I'm so happy this book ended with the happy ending we were all hoping for, and I'm really looking forward to reading more books by this author!

Well, I my interest was held listening to story in audiobook. Both author and narrator, Jon Curtis are new to me and so glad I discovered their work.
This is no run-of-the mill WITSEC story. Ash is in WITSEC but breaks cover, ( with good intentions, but bad consequences). He reaches out to the one person he can trust, Jamie, an officer formerly assigned to Ash. From the moment they get together, it's action, suspense, with humour, UST, steam and a very satisfying HEA.

Jon Curtis was really good with the narration. I loved the way he portrayed Ash - seemingly high maintenance, at first, but a really good person. Jamie sounded like the guy who would have your back - always. All of the other characters had distinct voices. Mr. Curtis made this a great listen. Definitely recommend!

From the beginning, I was in love with the complexities of these characters. Ashley Pandy is witty, relatable, strong-willed, and no one makes opening a wine bottle as sensual as he does. Jamie MacDougall is sturdy, dependable, and an all-around good guy from a supportive and loving family. (I mean it, can these people adopt me?) Not to be outdone by Ash’s wine bottle opening technique, Jamie chopping wood shirtless is definitely worth a re-read (or three).

This book has so many moments that had me laughing, crying, and looking over my shoulder to make sure no one could see me blush. Seriously, the chemistry between these two is top-notch. Their backgrounds may be vastly different, but when Ash has nowhere else to turn, Jamie is there to help and their dance to romance is heart melting, to say the least!

I will definitely be adding this to my re-read list.

The beginning of the book is a little bit of a rush, we get just a glimpse of Jamie and Ashley's interactions and Jamie's musings before the book cuts to a year later and the romance really begins... Other than needing to manage my expectations by adjusting the blurb, the rest of the book was amazing!

I absolutely love both Ashley and Jamie and their interactions once they are thrown together again after a year - based on Jamie's need to revisit an important part of his past and gets caught up in trouble all over again.

The writing is sound, the heat is smoldering and the ending is of course a HEA! I encourage you to get through the beginning of Save Me and then hold on for the ride!

I received an ARC to facilitate my review.
