Robert Martyn is divorced and works as a book-keeper for a luxury car showroom. His ambition to be an author has stalled, and he has a nightmare of a family. With a life marred with tragedy and disappointment, Rob has found it hard to take risks or trust anyone. Yet after being asked on a date by a suave stranger, he discovers his daring side.
Lexington Black is the wealthy New Yorker who rocks Rob's world. After their hot night together, he wastes no time in luring him to his Manhattan penthouse for a month, on the pretext of rebooting his writing career. A ruthless businessman, Lex is accustomed to getting what he wants, but he isn’t prepared for the strength of his feelings for the unassuming Englishman.
As Rob is introduced to gay Manhattan by Lex's colourful friends, he is unaware that his new lover is holding on to a crucial secret. Years before, Lex was a student at the college where Rob's father was Headmaster. A brief encounter between them may have resulted in the tragedy that Rob has been unable to forget. With this secret hanging between them, it is only a matter of time before Rob and Lex's relationship is balanced on a knife edge.
A heated tale of lust, deception and redemption.

Hands down, this is probably one of the best contemporary M/M romances that I've read in long time...
Why? No tropes here - no crazy ex-boyfriends,no traumatized characters,no unnecessary angst...It's original,if a little unbelievable, but I wouldn't be reading it if I wanted some dull everyday story. Characters are extremely well developed (secondary as well as MCs) and what I liked the most was their distinctiveness...considering this is dual POV,that's very important, and believe me,author did it superbly. And last but not least it's highly erotic read,and...to say "it was hot" would be an understatement.
Really,I could write some long review and lose you halfway, but I can't recommend this book highly enough...And if you still hesitate,it's full of drag queens in all its glory...so,what can I say except - ENJOY!

If your looking for something to pull at your heart this is the story for you
Lexington Black was a surprising treat! I started the book intrigued and came out thoroughly fulfilled. This is a story of self discovery, empowerment, love, and forgiveness.
(Rob) Martyn is recently divorced, straight, and living an unexciting life as a bookkeeper for a luxury car dealer. He’s never done anything for himself and he has spent his entire life trying to please his family, most of whom consider him a waste of space.
Robin has put his aspirations of being an author on hold based on the criticisms of his ex-wife. On top of that, Rob’s father committed suicide when he was 15 and ever since he has found it hard to trust anyone other than his twin sister, Geri.
Lexington (Lex) Black is an openly gay and wealthy New Yorker. His father is sick so Lex has taken over his company. Despite his success, his father still can’t get past the fact that Lex, his only son, is gay.
Due to his lavish lifestyle, Lex is accustomed to having the best and getting what he wants. After a chance meeting at Rob’s dealership, Lex sets his sights on Rob. Finally seducing Rob into a night of intense passion, he quickly lures him back to NYC with the pretense of helping him kick off his writing career.
SECRETS ARE REVEALED
Rob is introduced to Lex’s gay Manhattan lifestyle and his colorful friends, including drag queen Caressa/Peter who is Lex’s oldest friend. Rob embarks on a journey of self discovery while simultaneously falling in love with Lexington. Afraid of losing the only man he’s ever loved, Lex keeps secret his past which includes a torrid one night of passion with Rob’s father. When secrets are revealed, will their love be strong enough to keep them together?
Rob is adorable! He is a Hugh Grant-ish Englishman who finds himself in awkward social interactions. From having his balls shaved by drag queens to having his first threesome, he bumbles his way through and is able to just go along with it.
Lexington Black was first published in 2015 under the name S A Smythe, but has been expanded and improved by Jayne Lockwood's new alias, Lady Jaguar!
Tino Santini is offered the role of personal assistant to his wealthy CEO, after being trapped with him in an elevator just before Thanksgiving. It seems a night of scorching sex can do wonders for a flagging career.
Now his new boss wants more of Tino's talented mouth as well as his organisational skills. Neither of them expect their professional relationship and private arrangement to be anything other than business, until a personal tragedy means that Richard needs Tino more than ever.
Wealthy pansexual businessman, Richard Mason, seems to have it all, but a former female lover, a New York gangster and a murky past all threaten to destroy his chance of happiness.
Tino is the sensible employee who gets stuck with Richard in the elevator, but a bottle of cognac, some donuts and an indecent proposal send him on a hedonistic journey of sex, murder and possibly love.
This was originally a standalone short story on Wattpad - basically an excuse for two guys to have hot sex in an elevator, but due to reader demand, I've extended it to a full-length erotic fiction novel. This edition has bonus content not found on the Wattpad version.

This book was not what I was expecting. I didn’t read the blurb when I bought this one and thought I would be reading a story that was completely about sex with maybe a little romance thrown in just to sweeten it up a bit. Boy was I wrong!
I was instantly enamored with Tino. I really felt for his character and his situation both at work and with his family. I liked that he had some attributes that made him less than perfect and more human while completely surprising me when he proved that he could be hard and somewhat cruel when he has to. The first erotic scene happened pretty quickly after that initial introduction and that’s where I thought the story would continue. I didn’t care much for Tino’s supervisor and I didn’t like the CEO Richard Mason… at first, but I’ll get back to him in just a second. I was surprised that this didn’t take the same ‘ol trip down the CEO and PA erotic romance road that I’m used to.
So, back to Richard. It took me a bit to warm up to him. I spent most of my time wanting to either wring his neck because he couldn’t see what his actions were doing to others or shake him silly because he was oblivious to what was right in front of him. But his character has depth and strength that isn’t immediately apparent. It was interesting to get to know a little bit about what made him the person he was as well as watching him continue to evolve and grow.
I liked the way this story built and grew. I liked the suspense, the action and of course the hotness between the MCs. It was a fun story with lots of surprises.

phew! *Fanning self* what a saucy and cute story!
I love the relationship and interactions between Tino and Richard. They were so different, yet so compatible.
You gotta read the story to see what I mean.
A perfect story for MM erotica lovers. I found the story easy to read and fast to get hooked into it. The main characters were solid throughout the book and certainly lovable. Engaging story. I look forward to reading the author's other stories. Thank you, Lady Jaguar for putting your stories on KU!
I was given a free copy of this book in return for an honest review.
Going Down really surprised me. I was expecting romance, love and some humour but, instead, I got a book in which no one is who they appeared to be - and I'm including Tino in this group. Everyone has secrets and none of the characters are the people that we first meet.
The book is a romance and starts when Tino and company CEO Richard are trapped in an elevator for hours. Some very hot sex occurs but Tino is warned what happens in the elevator stays in the elevator. Obviously, this doesn't prove to be the case.
We have gangsters, some very mild BDSM elements and we have Pagan. More that this though we have Tino and Richard - the main characters who have so much more to offer both each other and the readers.
I really enjoyed this book and I will be looking for more by this author.
Going Down features Richard Mason, the pansexual main character in Jayne Lockwood's book Closer Than Blood.
Though there are elements of the original story included in this book, the two novels unrelated and can be read on a standalone basis.
