"I love you enough to let you run, but too much to see you fall."

Burnt out from his life as a musician and record producer, 35-year-old Matt Barrow takes on Lonemarsh House, an isolated manor in the Kent marshes. When he meets 23-year-old Jason Hodge, a brilliant violinist, Matt knows this is the young man he wants to share his new life with. But Jason is closeted and at the mercy of his treacherous friends.

Jason is trapped by fear and Matt may be his escape, but should he jeopardise his safety for the love of an older man?

This is an amazing piece of writing which has everything in it. Firstly we have the instant connection between Matt Barrow the 35 year old musician and record producer and 23 year old Jason Hodge, son of the landlord of his local pub and a very talented violinist. Secondly we find out why Jason is still living at home when he has so much talent, and thirdly what exactly is 'friend' Steve up to?
This Mentor series is exceptional. Each story is completely different.

'The Mentor of…' is my series of standalone novels with a similar theme: older/younger romance in an isolated location where both main characters, in their own ways, mentor each other through adversity, leading to a happy ending.

About the Author

Hi. Jackson was born in 2017 as the penname for me (James) so that I could publish my new gay fiction independently from my other writing work. I was born on the south coast of England during a blizzard, but now like to warm thing up with MM romance novels, gay mysteries and some occasional erotica. In 2007 I was awarded and EGPA award for my erotic short stories, and in 2018 I won a Best Screenplay award for one of my films. I am a diverse writer with thrillers, comedies and horror stories under my James belt, and now romance and mystery under my Jackson belt.

At the moment I am concentrating on two genres: older/younger MM romance, and youth mysteries with early 20s main characters and a love story included.

I now live on a Greek island with my husband.
