I was lucky to come across Nic Starr when the first book of this series came out. I love the worlds that were created and how real they seem. It is like you were right there with them when they went through their lives. Now I am still a bit behind in some of the phrases that they use but it doesn’t stop me from getting caught in the story. There is a serious tone to the stories but there is some humor that which for me is a plus.
This story doesn’t really take place in Adelaide like the other but in Melbourne. Grant has lived in Melbourne most of his life only visiting Adelaide after his breakup. His partner had been stealing from the business and sleeping with his boyfriend. Now that he has ended both relationships things might just look up for him. Meeting Dave when he was visiting his friends, he wasn’t sure how to go forward.
Dave has always wanted to go to the city and work, however it isn’t till he is asked to comes stay with Grant that things look like they might just move forward. I must admit though that there were times I would have loved to smack Grant, but he realized that Dave was meant to be his.
I enjoyed reading this story and was glad to see that they had their happily ever after. It was a good read and I would definitely recommend it.
