Our Kind of Music

A sweet seasonal short story

by Susan Mac Nicol

Milas and Teddy have three things in common: University, music, and rum-laced coffee. Oh, and Milas has been lusting for Teddy for a while now. So, there’s that. When they hear street music played by a homeless man with a gift for the violin, the two young men come together to stage a wintry Christmas Eve concert with a difference.

A group of extraordinary people, a ragtag band of musicians called The Streetsies, give their all to their adoring public to raise funds for charity. Who knows what bells will ring, or which French horns will toot? Christmas looks to be all wrapped up, and Milas is glad for one very special gift.

His special Teddy Bear for the festive season.

About the Author

A writer, a coffee drinker, a Brit oozing sarcasm, with a passion for all things books.

I write steamy, heartfelt and often dark romance featuring unforgettable LGBTQ+ characters, found family, and love that refuses to behave. I'm also an award-winning screenwriter with ten awards for my screenplay Sight Unseen. I'm a member of the Society of Authors and the Authors Guild.

Interesting facts. My family and I were chased by a rhino on a dusty Kenyan road. I was once mistaken for a prostitute in Johannesburg (hilarious story). I got kicked out of a youth club for encouraging free thinking. Oh yes, and my aunt Delia was once engaged to Cliff Richard.
