Matty's best friend Duane is missing- trafficked by the very aliens behind Matty's own sentencing. When J'nah gets a lead on where he is, he sends J'nel. For J'nel, this is about more than duty. The smaller human male had fired up his protective instincts, Duane's emotional fragility making him vulnerable to the very sort they sought to protect the rest of humanity from.

Duane only meant to make atonement for his unwitting part in Matty's arrest and sentencing. Being sold on the black market to an alien psychopath had definitely not been any of the outcomes he'd been prepared for. Then again, he also could never have foreseen meeting an ancient, powerful alien AI whose avatar was that of a child.

Duane knows one thing for certain, though. The Talani hiding in the shadows are going down. But first, he and J'nel need to rescue Delorit from herself. This picks up right after the end of Accused and is the story Duane. After book one ended I was so ready for Duane's story and it was fantastic, a bit darker than Matty's story because after Duane filed that report against himself he ended up in hell. I don't want give any spoilers, all a very enjoyable read.

I hope the next book about this group and how they are planning to stop a group of corrupted people among themselves are trying to revolt and take over.

This was an interesting, intriguing, sexy, action packed, and fast paced tale. There were some glitches, but I really enjoyed reading J'nel and Duane's story.

About the Author

Leona is a longtime staunch supporter of human rights and environmental causes. Her favourite genre to read is M/M fiction and she particularly enjoys science fiction, fantasy, and action/suspense subgenres—especially if they have a nice seasoning of romance. She has far too many books on her Kindle, has overloaded her phone with even more and, when not reading, writing, being driven to distraction by her children, or being overlorded by her three cats, can be found trying to locate the portal that the sock monster uses to steal socks from her dryer.
