About The Book

Travelling to Dnara to find the exiled Vihaans sounded like a great idea. Except…Dnara is nothing like home. Homesick, bored, and confused by the way Jude’s eyes keep drifting over him, being in Dnara brings only chaos and uncertainty into Gale’s life.

With Jude doing everything but climbing into his lap to make his attraction clear, yet putting on the brakes at the strangest times, it’s up to Gale to make the first move and claim his mate. Men might never have been on his radar before, but Gale isn’t about to ignore the true mate bond he thought he would never find.

Jude can fight all he wants, but no one denies the bond. Not when his words bark ‘back off’ and his eyes scream ‘claim me’. Besides, Gale never was any good at doing what he was told.

The Review

This is a short story, but before you read this review, I want to emphasize the fact that this series must be read in order, or you will be left confused. We get a little look at some of the characters that we met before.

We catch up with the group that Keon sent to Dnara to recover exiled Vihaans, to educate them about the new rules that were instituted when Keon became Alpha. Gale and Jude, who have spent years together on missions and were roommates, are once again doing their duty. Jude is gay, a fact that was never acknowledged due to the restrictions and punishments associated with same sex pairings.

Gale has never even looked at another man that way, and never envisioned being in a sexual relationship with one. But and since arriving in Dnara, he can’t stop watching Jude, and finds himself feeling the mate bond. Gale is not one to hide his feelings and goes after what he wants. Unfortunately, every time he makes advances on Jude and even when he goes as far as seducing him much to Jude’s enjoyment, Jude pulls away again.

Gale grows frustrated, and decides that if Jude doesn’t show any interest, he will return to Vihaan and chose another mate.

Some of the exiled we already knew from their stories in book two, but it was enjoyable to catch up with them again. As the mission comes to an end and they prepare to return home, Gale wonders if Jude will finally accept the mate bond.

This is a wonderful series. Start with book one, A Touch of Danger – each book after is like being reacquainted with old friends.

Four stars.
