The Review

This is a very timely anthology, with all proceeds going to combat voter suppression.

The premise of the anthology- voting and politics- is a pretty specific niche.  The stories in this collection are also pretty short.  Fans of this trope will be happy with the range of perspectives included.

I love anthologies because they are always a great way to be introduced to new authors and get little bites of goodness from favorites.  This one was no exception.  The high points for me in this collection were “Joy is a Phone Call Away” from R.L. Merrill and “Election Night” from M.D. Neu.  If you are looking for a group of quick reads with super current topics, this is the anthology for you.

The Reviewer

In writing this bio I am taking a rare break from reading! I always have a book on hand just in case there is time to sneak in a chapter or two. As a military spouse and a mom of two boys, it is amazing how often I am hurrying up to wait. Luckily for me I don’t have a favorite genre so I get lots of fun authors to choose from. My education was in sociology and mental health counseling, so stories with strong character development are my favorites. Happily Ever After is the best part of romance for me because real life is hard enough.
