Secrets destroy lives. Dishonesty ruins relationships.

Keston, Qier, Raheim and Izzy are four gay best friends who grew up together in Miami, Florida. Even though the four friends are away at college in two Florida cities, they remain as tight as ever, or so they pretend. While they claim they keep nothing from each other, each friend has a dark secret that threatens the relationships they cherish the most.

Qier, a college football star who’s destined for the NFL, has one of the most damaging secrets of them all. He’s afraid if his secret is exposed, he might have to leave the country. He’s determined to do everything in his power to keep his secret, a secret.

The game changes when Qier’s most hated enemy, college basketball star Phoenix Cummings, resurfaces. Phoenix poses a direct threat to Qier’s livelihood—in more ways than one. This relationship is a ticking time bomb, waiting to explode.

In the opening entry of a nine-book short story series, the ground work for an intricate web full of secrets, lies, jealously and crime will begin to tangle right before your eyes. Don’t be fooled—everything isn’t always as it seems.

Sensational is all I can say about this first installment of the “WHAT WEBS WE WEAVE” series. This book truly lives up to its name because Jaxon Grant masterfully bring to life a story of young, black, gay men dealing with emotional twist and turns against the back drop of college life. In this story, the readers get to develop an emotional attachment to the four main characters (Qier, Keston, Izzy and Raheim) as their choices and actions begin to set the tone for future installments of the WWWW series. In this first installment, Jaxon fleshes out the development of the characters that gives the reader a powerful insight as to the relationships of the main and sub characters that immediately pulls the reader into story. The story among Qier, Keston, Izzy and Raheim resonates with hidden secrets and agenda’s that will eventually challenge the very essence of their friendships. This book has all of the trademarks of a Jaxon Grant novel as it is sexy, quirky, captivating, edgy, sharp, and witty. What would a Jaxon Grant novel be without the swagger, allure, confident, gifted and sensual black gay men? This book is a page turner that is truly entertaining and captivating. Jaxon Grant has done a wonderful job of telling a story where the reader can feel the characters love, pain, joy, insecurities and sorrow. It’s a remarkable book that packed a powerful punch. I cannot wait to get my hands on book number two.

This book had me at page one. Jaxon has done it again, but i'm not surprise. Can't wait for book 2 & 3. Big fan of his work. I loved E Lynn Harris work but he now gone (RIP), I now have a new favorite. Qier don't know what he wants man or woman. Keston knows what he wants just can't figure it out. Raheim is tripping over Izzy, while Izzy is in his own world. Phoenix has Kory f***ing with Keston which Qier is not going for. Now you have to read the book to find out what happens. Great job Jaxon. And if you new to his work you must read his other books, they are all off the chart.
