Editions:Kindle
Pages: 157

A nerdy film major and the top gay porn star.

Aiden Scott is the hottest thing right now in the online adult entertainment world. Women gush. Men applaud his techniques. And everybody wishes they could be his next partner. Thanks to one little video uploaded by an ex, he’s become famous. His family might disapprove of his methods, but Aiden embraces this notoriety and revels in the reviews. In typical Scott fashion, Aiden’s made a f**king career—out of f**king.

Aiden has rules in place to protect himself. He doesn’t date. He won’t do sleepovers. He's never been interested in someone longer than it takes to reach a mutual climax.

The rules work. They always have. Until he meets one nerdy film major, with big brown eyes and it has him questioning everything.

Skyler C. Bailey is a film major and twenty-one years old. It’s his junior year of college at Vanderbilt. He lives to capture people's raw emotions and life stories through a lens camera. A true introvert at heart, one night out and his whole world is turned upside down. He tries to ignore the growing feelings inside, he’s been there and done that. Been stomped on and pushed to the side. He doesn’t want to go through that again, but he can’t ignore his heart even if he’s afraid he’s about to learn the hardest lesson of all: never trust a p*rn star.

“And there you go again,” Ryan said, effectively pulling Aiden out of his lingering thoughts.

“What?”

Ryan shook his head. “It’s not like you to be out of it, especially right before filming.”

At Ryan’s words, Aiden finally realized that they were in the hotel room they tended to rent for performances. He glanced around the room. The cameraman was setting up still. Usually he’d be getting in the right headspace; instead, he’d been daydreaming.

“Sorry, I’ll go get naked,” Aiden said.

“I want to ask if there is something wrong, but you’re smiling, so I’m not sure what to ask,” Ryan said.

Was he smiling?

Aiden tried to school his facial expression but could practically feel the smile on his face. “Can’t I be happy?”

Ryan argued, “Sure, but…” He went quiet for a second, and his eyes got big as he stared up and down at Aiden. “Is this because of Skyler?”

“Am I usually angry?” Aiden asked instead.

“No, but—”

“There you go. Today is a good day. Now make sure your ass is ready for all of this,” Aiden said.

Ryan lifted an eyebrow but said nothing else as Aiden went to the bathroom. In the bathroom, he stared at himself in the mirror. There was a huge smile on his face, and no matter how he tried to wipe it off, it seemed to come back. His phone dinged in his back pocket, and he fumbled to get it out. Unlocking it, he saw who’d messaged him. His eyes caught his reflection in the mirror. He was grinning so hard his cheeks should hurt.

Skyler: Class was okay, the professor went through twenty slides. Pretty sure my brain is fried. What are you doing?

They’d ended up texting all night and most of the morning. It had been slow at first. Aiden could tell Skyler was unsure of what to say. His one-word answers were to the point, but once Aiden continued to message, Skyler was soon starting conversations on his own.

Aiden responded quickly.

Aiden: At work, thinking about our date on Saturday.

He held his breath for the reply, but the next words that came confused him.

Skyler: Sorry I’m bothering you while you’re at work.

Aiden’s smile dimmed for a second. Skyler worried about the wrong things. If anything Aiden was over the moon that Skyler had messaged him.

Aiden: Not a bother at all. I look forward to your messages.

Aiden waited with bated breath. A knock at the door made him jump and drop his phone.

“Shit.”

“Come on, Brad Knight.”

With his stage name being called, Aiden bent over to pick up his phone. One more glance told him Skyler still hadn’t replied. He stuffed his phone in his pockets before removing his clothes. It wasn’t like him to obsess over someone, even someone as cute as Skyler. He mentally shed Aiden and stepped into Brad Knight’s persona.
