Sometime love happens when you’re not even looking for it

This is not a story about living with HIV.  This is a story about living life to the fullest despite your diagnosis.

A jaded and damaged former porn star living with HIV, going through life with a series of ‘friends’ because you believe you can’t ever love or be loved by anyone.

A single, straight man with a diagnosis he never in a million years thought he’d have.

A chance meeting and they both realize that this really could be something more, something amazing, something….life changing.

What would you do?

If you’re these men, you grab on as tight as you can, you fight with everything you’ve got and when that doesn’t seem like enough, when things seem to be slipping through your fingers…..you dig deep to try and find some way to fight even more.

“Connor?” Tony whispered as he threaded their fingers together.

 “Yeah?”

“I’m falling too.  But I’m ready to hang on tight and see where we land together.”

Because they’re worth it, they both Tony and Connor are.  And together they hope to both find that it is possible to find love after this chaos.

This is an adult M/M romance intended for readers over 18.

It has an HEA (happily ever after) for the main characters in this book with no cheating.

Excerpt:

He slid the door open and stepped into the dark room, closing the door behind him as quietly as he could.
By moonlight, he made his way over to the kitchen counter and set the bag of food down long enough to set his keys on the counter and take his jacket off. Then, before he could think too hard about it, he stripped down to his boxers and grabbed two waters from the fridge then he grabbed the food and made his way up the stairs. At the top he stopped and stared at the man in the bed.
At first glance it looked like a man sleeping peacefully. But Tony knew better and when he looked closer he saw it. Connor was curled up on his side, a pillow wrapped in his arms and his knees pulled up….like he was trying to wrap himself into a ball, like there was so much pain inside him that it was drawing his body in on itself.
Tony knew therapy would be hard for Connor. He was dredging up things in his past that he had buried years ago

and he was doing it not only for himself but for them, for their relationship. But he had no idea what could have caused Connor this much pain. The one thing he did know is that he would do everything in his power to help take it away.
He padded barefoot over to the edge of the bed and silently set the food and water on the floor then he lifted the edge of the sheet, slid inside and pulled Connor’s body into his chest. “I love you,” he whispered into the back of the man’s head as he pressed his lips there.
He thought Connor was still asleep.
But then he felt the shaking in the man’s body as he quietly began to sob. And then Connor’s hand reached up and grabbed onto Tony’s like it was the only thing keeping him on this earth.
And that was the moment that Tony finally breathed again.
“I’ve got you, babe, I’ve got you, always,” he whispered as the man cried out his pain into the night.

This is defintley a series that has substance to it. In book 2, you are taken on Tony and Connor's journey. 2 men, both with life altering diagnosis, both keeping love away fearing they are not worthy. Tony's trust is hard earned after his wife destroyed him and Connor...well, he's kinda a tad bit man-whorish. But he has his reasons for playing the field and not getting attached. And those reasons will break your heart for the childhood Connor and make you understand his resistance as an adult. Oh, but it does not excuse it, no way. There were a few times I was so pissed at Connor I wanted to reach into the book and strangle him! But thankfully, in the end, Tony didn't let him push him away and these two got their much earned and well deserved HEA.

Now, I patiently wait for the next books in this series because one thing that does happen within these pages, is you are introduced to other character's whose story is just begging to be told!!

This was a beautifully told story. A story of hope and love. Tony always thought he was straight until he met Connor. Something about him draws Tony in, but they both have a lot of obstacles. Together, they navigate through them and find what they both have wanted but never thought they could have. I really loved this book. It will tug at your heartstrings. It does have a HEA. I highly recommend this book

I have been waiting what feels like forever for this follow up to "love in the aftermath" and was a little worried that I would feel let down after all the pressure I put on this and voila not disappointed in one bit this story can be read alone but is so much better as a series. Ms Nelson surpassed my expectations with another emotional rollercoaster that couldn't be put down she does not shy away from the difficult emotions and subjects that affect her characters but there are nice humorous touches also as you go along revenge can be sweet is all I am going to say as I don't want to spoil the read. And now I am dealing with another Nelson bookover until the next installment/ hurry please and maybe a story for Robbie in the future (nudge, nudge).

What an amazing story!! It was such an emotional rollercoaster, and so endearing. I loved watching the self discovery of Tony...and I just wanted to hug both of them all the time!!! It was an uplifting story about embracing 'living' with HIV, instead of fearing dying from it!! I cannot wait for the next books in this series!!
