Excerpt:

“Shit on Mary’s Tits!! Was that a Deer you just hit??” Jason hollered, as he grabbed his crotch with both hands to protect it from lord knows what.

Jason paused for a second thinking, and then asked, “Are there Deer suicides”?
I looked at him in disbelief again. Jason blinked his wide eyes and gawked back at me, expecting a real answer. I bit down the sarcasm.
I rolled my eyes. “I’ll have to call their hotline and see.”
“Huh?” He sniffed, while what I said finally sunk in. “Oh, shut the fuck up.”

“May I try this on in the dressing room?” I asked the lady.
“Of course. That’s why we have the rooms there.” She stared at me like I had been dropped many times on my head as a child. I think I blushed.
Suddenly, Jason’s loud voice echoed through the store from down below.
“JOHNNY, OH MY GOD, I FOUND A SHITLOAD OF DILDOS!!! YOU SHOULD COME AND SEE!!! ALL COLORS AND ALL SIZES!!! COME DOWN TO THE BASEMENT!!! THERE’S ONE SO LONG AND WIDE THAT IF IT WENT IN ME, I”D NEVER BE ABLE TO SIT DOWN!!!!!!!!!! YOU MAY EVEN SEE IT IF I OPENED MY MOUTH AND YOU LOOKED DOWN MY THROAT!!!!!!!”
The store went quiet as the few people that were there looked down towards where the voice came from, and then up to me, who had bowed my head and started shaking it.

So I moved slightly to my right.
SQUEAKSQUEAKSQUEAK
I noticed both him and the lady put their hands to their ears. Well, my record for being noticed, and not for my looks, remained intact. When my hearing came back, I heard Jason singing, “If I only had a heart.” from Wizard of Oz.
I glanced over at him scowling. “Thanks.”

Jason was oblivious to where he was, and who we passed, so he chirped merrily along.
“And did you see that one dildo? It had vibrators in the base AND the tip.” He blurted outloudly.
I eyed the nice church going looking couple that passed us as they covered their little girls’ ears and glared back meanly at Jason. I rolled my eyes.
“Yes. Whoever gets that is lucky,” I answered back.
“Must be me. I bought two!” Jason chirped.
I blinked as I loaded the bags into the trunk.
“Why two?” I had to ask.
“White cock and black cock versions!”
“Jason!” I stood there looking at him with both of my hands on my hips.
Jason giggled.

“You Johnny, are getting too suspicious.” Danny said as he watched the waiter come back to us, and placed both drinks in front of Danny.
“Thank you.” Danny said, as he glanced up.
“Hey, one of them is mine!” I pointed to myself.
The waiter, without looking down, passed the candle over to me, not one of the drinks. “If you need anything else, just ask for me.”
“I will,” Danny said.
The waiter wiggled away smirking.
“I won’t,” I said, switching the candle to the middle of the table with one of the drinks.
“Well, not all pretty people have to be smart,” Danny said, as he defended the waiter.

Once again the pages are filled with love, laughter, and poignant scenes from the life of a gay writer and comedian. This time our hero has romance to weave through his adventures.

Trust me this is never boring, and sometimes leaves the reader on the verg of tears. I do know I won't ever look at latex the same again.

Johnny Williams is back! The misadventures of the sweet, funny gay klub kid continues with his gorgeous friends and fellow klub kids in tow. In this hilarious sequel, Johnny takes a trip to Hollywood to pitch a script, and attends a friend's wedding while dressed in latex. This semi-autobiographical memoir of a survivor of the NYC club scene is a laugh (or two or three or more) every page.

For a good reason, as this is pretty much Johnny's autobiography in fiction form. His story is raw, poignant, funny and sweet. Johnny's thoughts, reactions and self-deprecating humor are relatable for many people. His are seasoned with the view of a young, gay man looking for the love that his friends has found.

I recommend reading Klub Kids first, to really understand more of the events that have shaped Johnny's viewpoints. You can also easily tell that in spite of his sarcasm and snark, he hasn't lost his sweetness. Do not let the page count put you off. This is formatted uniquely, with larger print and fewer words per page. There's also a copy of his script, that he was trying to present at his ill-fated interview in Hollywood.

Recommended reading for anyone's home appreciates humor and a truthful look at life.

Klub Kids Strike Back is book two, or a follow up really to Klub Kids. I did read this back to back with book one so I can easily say I find the need to read the first one before this to be important.

We are once again in the author's head here. This isn't just a story, just like in book one this is a semi-autobiography. The humor is still amazing and witty. There were so many priceless moments that made me laugh and love. He nails the realism once again and I have to say that really is a huge thing. We can all joke about what Johnny lives through with the character but when there's added realism we feel like we've been there in our own way.

Johnny has seen things that some have and some haven't and I felt like his eyes in many ways, going through a scene with him. We are all cynics in this world... at least the people I know are so in many ways we are Johnny.

There's a script included, one the author is trying to get Hollywood to read and love. It's my opinion we need more of these stories out in the world.

There's so much to love about this series, of course, the laughs and realism, but there's the rawness we don't see a lot of.

I recommend this series

About the Author

Just a, hopefully considered, funny gothy author from around NYC/New Hope Pa area.  5' 5" soft spoken, but snarky shy guy, that stays in the shadows, and has no social wares except to pipe up jokes when he can throw one out, from years of being in the clubs with my friends.  [AKA, I am honestly shy and don't know how to talk with people except for joking.  If I meet you, help.   lol]
