This is the first book written by Nic Starr I’ve had the pleasure of reading. It’s Not Easy is a sweet love story of best friends who have always been there no matter what. However, Ben and Spence are each keeping a big secret from the other. They have fallen in love with one another but are afraid it will ruin their friendship if they admit it. While trying to hide their emotions, situations get interpreted wrong and feelings get hurt. Will they finally risk it all and tell the other that they are not just friends but in love?
I enjoyed reading It’s Not Easy. It was well written and flowed easily. The characters were well-developed and easy to connect with. Ben and Spence were both sweet and I was happy to see them finally admit what they truly wanted. I loved how the secondary characters supported the main characters. I am looking forward to reading more books written by the author in the future.
If you like a short sweet love story then you will enjoy reading It’s Not Easy by Nic Starr.
