Games of the Heart - A Two-Book series of M/M BDSM Romance, Betrayal & Redemption
Book 1 - Dangerous Games
Reese Armstrong is striving to get his life on track. He has started a new career, gotten a new apartment…now he has to figure out how to shake the guy who insists on controlling his every move. For years, Reese took part in the deviant bets orchestrated by his wealthy lover, Hank. He’s told himself he’s done with all that, but the terms of this latest bet are more than Reese can refuse.
As head computer programmer at a software company, Luca Hartman’s professional life is soaring. But his personal life is a lonely mess. When the hot new sales guy takes an interest in him, a world of possibility opens. But Luca’s been burned before, and he’s wary of the sudden attention. Why would Reese, who could have any man he wants, choose geeky, stuttering Luca? Is he truly sincere or should Luca be on the lookout for a string of malicious code?
Disarmed and enchanted by the shy, brilliant Luca, Reese has to make a choice: reject Hank’s dirty tactics or follow through and destroy the potential he sees with Luca. But even if Reese wants to be done with their dangerous games, Hank’s not through with him…
Book 2 - Turning the Tables
Hank Seeley works through his rage over his ex’s betrayal by using rent boys from an exclusive escort service, forcing submission whether it’s wanted or not. When the service sends Avery Thompson rather than one of the usual twinks, Hank gets way more than he bargained for.
To make ends meet, Avery, a brew master, takes a temporary job as a sex worker. When he’s asked to meet with a customer who has developed a reputation for being too rough on the subs, Avery doesn’t mind taking the gig. He’s always up for a challenge. It doesn’t take long for Avery to sense something deeply hidden beneath Hank’s entitled, angry façade.
The clash between the two men is immediate and intense, as is the attraction. Hank, used to being on top of the world, is overwhelmed by the upheaval taking place in his life, including the sexy bear of a man who is so different from anyone he’s ever met.

THE STORY OF A SYMBIOTIC RELATIONSHIP OF THE UNHEALTHY KIND
Two boys, each outsiders in their own right, twice so because of their sexual orientation, enter into a relationship that depends on cruel games to fulfill their needs.
Growing up they evolve to a degree of interdependency that is not only harmful to others, but erodes their "friendship" too.
When one of them takes the first steps out of this vicious circle, things come to a head.
While one experiences the true meaning of a loving relationship, the other, the dominant half of their former alliance, devolves into anger, rage, and cruelty.
Devoid of coping skills he ends up lashing out at everyone, becoming his own worst enemy.
I do hope Ms Thompson has a fitting comeuppance for him in mind!!!
TURNING THE TABLES
And there he is again
Hank - the monster bully, the wannabe Dom with the entitlement complex.
Reese, his longtime partner, has left him and so has Julio, his house-boy. He's alone and resents everybody and everything. So what does he do, he orders boys from a high-priced agency for one night, and treats them abominably enough for the agency to consider cancelling his lucrative contract. The last "boy" they send him before they do, is a total surprise.
With even more than her usual empathy Ms Thompson takes us on a journey from anger, misunderstanding and loneliness, to the freedom to become and finally be the person one's meant to be. Peppered with her trade-mark spine, and other parts tingling scenes, she makes this a un-put-down-able read!
Embedded in this book is one of the most touchingly beautiful "first-times" I have ever read.
