Bred to Be

An MM Mpreg Shifter Romance (Enemies to Lovers)

by Aspen Grey

He loves me. He just doesn’t know it yet…

He hates me—or at least he thinks he does. But he’s my fated mate, and if I can’t change his mind, maybe that will.

Back in New York I had it all. As a hedge fund manager I had more money than God and countless omegas looking to catch my eye. But I wasn’t looking for that; I was looking for something more. That’s why I packed up and moved to Cliffside, Maine, looking to settle down.

And then I found him. Eric, my fated mate. But he hates me. He thinks I’m just another arrogant out-of-town rich guy here to ruin everything he loves about his hometown.

But what he doesn’t know is that we’re meant to be together and that I’m willing to do whatever it takes to prove it to him.

Bred to Be is Book 4 in the Cliffside Wolves series featuring a brand new, fierce, dominant alpha who’s just moved to town, insta-hate/love, a sassy, bratty omega, tons of knotty fun and a tender HEA to wet your eyes with. Come on in, join the fun!

I need a drink, I thought sarcastically. Of course I didn’t really. I wasn’t even old enough, but I needed something. I’d shot up to a huge high when Brandon handed me that money and now I was crashing, like after a candy or ice cream binge. Josh’s Gelato was open, and it seemed like it wasn’t too busy, with a bunch of teenage girls just milling around outside and not actually waiting in line, so I pushed past them towards the door.

“He’s cute!” I heard one of them whisper.

“He’s gay, Sara!” another hissed back.

“What? How do you know?”

“My gaydar is hypersensitive,” she giggled.

That actually got my spirits up a bit, and as I stepped inside, I looked over my shoulder and gave them both a wink. They both looked horrified, went stiff and spun around and quickly walked away.

Inside the crowd wasn’t too bad, and I was about to make my way over to the counter to grab some samples and see if they had any specials today, but I only made it one step before it hit me.

A scent.

No. The scent. The scent of my fated mate.

It was there. It was undeniable. It hit me like a chain thrown and wrapped around my neck like some godly cowboy lassoing a steer. I stopped dead and turned my head, my nose going a million miles-per-hour, searching for the source of the smell.

Is this really happening? I thought. My fated mate?

My heart shook in my chest and a warmth flowed through me. All of a sudden my day’s problems had been washed away. It was like my bad mood had never existed. I was on the figurative edge of my seat as I gazed across the crowd, my body more alive than it had ever been, searching…searching…

But then I saw him, and instead of feeling my soul soar, I felt my heart sink into my feet and a knot form in my stomach.

The alpha standing at the counter, the one whose scent was tingling my nostrils, my fated mate was the Lamborghini driving, cocky walking, table stealing asshole I’d seen at Chuck’s earlier.

Like most of Aspen Grey’s books in this series this one is an over-the-top, basically insta-love romance.

Eric doesn’t like Sawyer mainly because he buys a table that Eric had been saving up for. I found his anger to be a little much, though I understand that he really wanted the table.

Sawyer is all Alpha and at first, I found him to be a little bit of a pushy jerk, but he ended up turning out to be nicer once him and Eric got together.

I liked the little drama with Fish as it was different then the last couple books I have read by Grey.

This is a quick read, sweet romance, with plenty of sexy times.
