It’s a fine line with power, it can be positive or it can be negative, depending on the person wielding it. Paden had been thrown off his planet of Eiravia, given the name of Darius, and left to forget his race and his family. Years have passed since then and he has made his way back to Eiravia and the man he loves. With Finnal’s help, and that of his growing clan, he will make Eiravians feel pride again.
His growing power is becoming known throughout the universe and he is slowly being talked about in hush tones as the Jewel, a shining star who can create wonders from changing a race to fixing a planet.
Nothing much is known about him from the outside world, only the rare few that have the opportunity to understand his fears, hopes, and loves truly understand.
Throughout the story, one man’s journey is interwoven into Darius’s. Vega is a cornerstone to the clan. He is a man who helps him work out issues and chase the shadows away. He helps him become something that is talked about in tales by firesides.

Vega’s next stop was Dalinn. The Dalinn were a race he didn’t know much about, except that he’d heard their leader was called Rihlen. The atmosphere had a little less oxygen, which might make him a bit giddy, but it was doable.
The stone centered around one of their cities but that didn’t mean he was still here. He took a big breath, talking once more through the communicator.
“I’m looking for someone, will you let me land?”
“Why do you think he’s on this planet? There aren’t very many Eiravians left in the universe. Humans look like them, try them,” the voice over his comlink said.
“I know that, but he’s a friend,” he finally answered.
This was a silly race, and he wasn’t going to try and explain that he loved him.
After a long silence, Vega said, “This century would be nice,” under his breath.
“We don’t understand why you want to come on our planet.”

Vega looked up at the ceiling, counting silently. He’d tried to make them understand for the last three hours. How much more plain could he get?
“I’m looking for a friend!”
“You don’t have to yell, we have excellent hearing.”
“Okay, okay,” Vega said, standing up. He ran a hand down his face. He could do this; he repeated to himself that he was calm. “I’m one of the best in dealing with war traumas and matters of the mind, I can do this.” However, this race was pushing his limits.
“You’re talking to yourself; we don’t want to let you on if you are crazy.”
