Beautiful Boys

Quinn, Ellis, and Amory

by Julia McBryant

Beautiful Boys - Julia McBryant - Quinn, Elllis and Amory
Editions:Kindle - First Edition: $ 3.99 USD

Quinn and Ellis have settled into a happy daddy boy relationship when they find themselves smitten with talented, smart-mouthed — and sexy — actor Amory Reed. Amory has a daddy kink. Amory wants a boy. Quinn and Ellis want Amory. But Amory’s lower-class background makes him wary of these rich Savannahians, as does a scary secret he’s keeping. They want to make the romance work. But their jealousy threatens to leave them with nothing but empty arms and broken hearts.

Full of memorable characters, including a bratty boy, a smart-mouthed switch, and a strict-but-indulgent daddy, Beautiful Boys will hook you with a good plot — and keep you reading for the high heat.

A spinoff of the Southern Seduction and Low Country Lovers universe, the Southern Scandal series can be read on its own.

Excerpt:

Amory nods into the dark and moves silently. He learned that in school, the art of morning silences. Daddy knows it too; they make it downstairs with hardly a sound between them. He gestures for Amory to sit at the table. The kitchen lights cut a dim yellow in the darkness as Daddy starts coffee for them.

“How do you want it?” he asks, his voice low. Clearly, he doesn’t worry about waking Q; the bedroom’s too far. Like Amory, he must respect the velvet quiet of the early morning.

“Black, please, Daddy.”

He hands it to him plain and pours another mug. “Thank you, Daddy,” Amory says.

“You know, even Quinn calls me Ellis sometimes,” he says, smiling a little.

Amory doesn’t meet his eyes. “Quinn gets you all the time,” he says.

“I suppose that’s true.”

“And — I mean — ah, fuck me, it sounds desperate and ridiculous, but I’ve wanted it since I knew what it was.” Amory takes a sip of his coffee. In college, cutting the cupboard to bare bones, he learned to drink it black. Now he can’t take it any other way. “I used to want it before I knew its name. When I was in military academy, I’d imagine an older senior officer who would take care of me the way I always took care of my junior officers, but in a different way, you know? Who’d treat me the way you treat Quinn, but fuck me too. I didn’t have a name for it for a long time.” He smiles a little. “I always had a crush on my younger teachers.”

Daddy — Ellis — sits at the table across from him. “That’s sweet,” he says.

“Yeah, well. Not like you can really find it. I mean, I figured it would just … I mean — just be like centaur-fucking, I guess.”

Ellis almost spits out his coffee. “WHAT?!”

Amory slips hard into his Midlands accent, partly for comedic value, partly because he just woke up. “You know. Those poor motherfuckers who get off on centaur-fucking. They can jerk it all they want and read about it all they want and talk about it all they want. But they ain’t ever fucking no goddamn centaur.”

Ellis puts his head down on the table and laughs silently, so hard his shoulders shake. “Oh god, boy, I have to break you of that language,” he manages. “You’ve got to get that mouth under control. Centaur-fucking. Jesus Christ. You know that makes me the goddamn centaur.”

“Guess it does, doesn’t it, Daddy?” Amory drawls.

“You know you get Quinn too?” he says. “You know Q isn’t going anywhere? Ever? So it’s not quite the centaur-fucking you were anticipating.”

Amory puts his head on the table. “Fuck me but that makes it even better. It’s like, I don’t know. Something even more impossible than centaur-fucking.”

Ellis snorts and clearly tries not to laugh. “Explain exactly why Q makes it better. And watch your mouth.”

“I switch. I’d get bored if I was bottoming all the time, and if I was a sub all the time. I like having Quinn to play with. And not just play with — I mean —”  He reddens. He’s never told anyone this. “I also used to get crushes on some of my junior officers. Mostly, like, platonic. Sometimes I just played favorites really bad and it made me a shitty CO. But there were a few of them I just wanted — I wanted to treat like you treat Q, okay? I wanted to baby them and make them feel special and give them things and fuck them. I wanted them on their knees for me. I feel like that about Q. I told you, I’ve always wanted to fuck Q. God, I’d have treated him the way you treat him now. But I’d’ve probably spoiled the hell out of him until it went bad, so I’m glad I never did.”

“You know you’d share us both.” Ellis sips at his coffee.

“Yeah.”

“You know sometimes you’d get cut out because we wanted to be alone, same’s Quinn would get cut out when I wanted to be alone with you.”

Amory shrugs. “I’d get it.” He could be that generous. He would be that generous, if he had a real relationship with both of them.

“And get this straight. You know this isn’t a game, right? You know I’m in love with Quinn?”

Amory stares at him. “Father fuck me, I certainly hope so.”
